When Zootopia came out 6 years ago, it made many of us aware of so many incredible aspects of the animal world! It didn’t matter too much that Walt Disney’s buddy cop action-comedy film was just presenting a fantastic world.
The plot is simple, just to summarize it in a few words: animals take our place in society, which means that we’ll see those usually non-verbal creatures in pretty much all fields you can imagine: schools, police stations, restaurants, sports, and more. Could animals make the world a better place than humans do? That seems to be the central question in Zootopia.
With a rating of 8 on IMDb, Zootopia was obviously a pretty impressive success. Therefore, it seems like only a matter of time before a sequel appears. But will we really witness the release of Zootopia 2?
Zootopia directors are interested in a sequel
The directors of the original Zootopia movie, meaning Rich Moore and Byron Howard, have shown some level of interest in making a sequel. But what better argument for Zootopia 2 arriving sooner or later could there be, other than the undeniable success of the first movie?
The Tech Education even reveals that the sequel for Zootopia has been under development for about two years, but it still doesn’t have a clear release date. However, it was scheduled to launch last year in November, but the release was delayed.

As for the plot in the upcoming Zootopia movie, it’s pretty much anybody’s guess at this point.
