Martial arts are like a good wine. Neither of them ever gets old. But if you add an open-world environment to those martial arts, the recipe becomes even more delicious. We’re obviously talking about an upcoming video game. ‘Where Winds Meet’ is its name, and it’s supposed to launch relatively soon.

There’s no release date revealed as far as we know, but the launch shouldn’t be too far away, considering that a reveal trailer is already available. It presents a game set in Ancient China, where the player’s character will obviously have a lot of dirty and violent work to do.

Where Winds Meet indeed seems to have something of Ghost of Tsushima, an action-adventure game released roughly two years ago, developed by Sucker Punch Productions, and published by Sony. Either way, the description of Where Winds Meet via IGN indeed sounds pretty original:

Set in the Ten Kingdoms, where the entire dynasty is on the brink of crumbling, you take on the role of a swordsman who has grown up during war and conflict. Using skills from various Martial Arts Schools, it’s up to you to build your own combat style and survive. Get a look at this new Where Winds Meet gameplay, featuring the game’s exciting combat, abilities in action, and more.

In the open world environment of Where Winds Meet, players will have the chance to play various roles. They can choose to fight in the war between Kingdoms or go the other way around and become a doctor, for instance. There are plenty of options.

There seems to be no info yet regarding the compatible platforms, but surely we’ll hear a lot more about the upcoming game in the near future. Judging by the beautiful graphics, it seems to be safe to assume that Where Winds Meet will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, among others.
