Pokemon Scarlet And Violet: New Trailer Reveals Interesting Surprise

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet got a new teaser at the end of the 2022 Pokemon World Championships in London, and it highlighted on the game’s battle mechanics and online play. The trailer was released by The Pokemon Company’s CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara.

In the beginning of the trailer, a new Dragon/Normal type Pokemon named Cyclizar was introduced and its signature move, Shed Tail, was demonstrated. Combining the functionality of Substitute and Baton Pass, this move first creates a Poke Doll stand-in before immediately switching it out for another member of the party’s Pokemon.

New combat items, such as the Mirror Herb as well as the Loaded Dice (that increases the possibility of a multi-hit strike landing the maximum amount of hits), were also shown off in the video for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The trailer also featured Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet in their new form, Terastal. More information, including why a Pokemon’s Tera Type is hidden until the very first time it transforms, can be found on the official Pokemon website. The event also showcased a new move called Tera Blast, which transforms with a Pokemon whenever its type does.

In addition to the brand new trailer, the main site also provided information about the game’s online battle mode, called Battle Stadium. There will be opportunities for both casual and ranked matches at launch, as well as for both friendly and official online combat. It will be possible for players to create a fight team and then rent it out to other players by just sharing the team’s unique ID.

The Their Sky Ruins venue for Pokemon Unite, the Ash and Pikachu Master Sync Pair for Pokemon Masters EX, and a preview of the first Scarlet and Violet expansion for the Pokemon Trading Card Game were all revealed at the 2022 Pokemon World Championships.

The Paldea area and its two legendary Pokemon, Koraidon and Mirajan, are introduced to players in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, the ninth main entry of the Pokemon franchise. These titles are launching exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 18th.
