Fans of Samsung’s Fan Edition smartphones will be ecstatic to discover that a Galaxy S23 FE is slated to become a part of the company’s lineup of limited-edition smartphones. It was necessary to cancel the Samsung Galaxy S22 FE in order to ensure that its components could be used in the production of the much more profitable Galaxy S22 Ultra units. However, it seems that this time around the Korean manufacturer has arranged its stock in a more meticulous manner. According to a report by The Elec, the phenomenal commercial success of the S22 Ultra was the factor that caused any plans for an S22 FE model to be scrapped. However, early production projections for the S23 series suggest that Samsung is now filling all of its bases in terms of product offerings.

31 units

Given that the Galaxy S22 Ultra has reportedly sold well over 10 million copies, it is reasonable for Samsung to anticipate that the S23 Ultra will generate sales that are somewhat comparable to those of its predecessor. As a result, it has been reported that preparations are being made to ship thirteen million Galaxy S23 Ultra handsets.

In addition to this enormous number, there are 6.5 million units of the Galaxy S23 Plus and 8.5 million units of the Galaxy S23 in its basic configuration that are now in production. When you include the 3 million units that will be produced for the Galaxy S23 FE, Samsung has manufacturing plans in place to manufacture a total of 31 million smartphones for just this one range.

On the other hand, given that it has been rumored that Apple is preparing between 90 and 100 million iPhone 14 devices, this production goal for Samsung seems to be modest when compared to the other company’s goals at first look. But it has been predicted that Galaxy S ranges sell roughly 35-40 million devices, while it is regularly claimed that each iPhone generation ships 100 million units, thus Samsung prepping 31 million units of its S23 series might signal that the Korean corporation is taking a conservative approach. Recent months have seen a decline in sales of smartphones, which may be attributed to a number of causes, including rising prices, an economic downturn, and the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
