If you also fall immediately in love with cute and apparently innocent girls who like to play around with a chainsaw in totally unorthodox ways, it means you may have been a fan of Lillipop Chainsaw. That hack-and-slash game came out in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. But it remains in the memories of many even today for its crazy plot.
That’s perhaps why Chainsaw Lollipop is getting a full remake next year. Publisher Dragami Games reveals the great news, according to IGN. We already can imagine what amazing and glamorous outfits will Juliet get this time! Hopefully, she didn’t forget how to teach those pesky zombies a lesson!
The remake for Lollipop Chainsaw launches in 2023 worldwide
Without having a precise release date, we know that the upcoming remake for Lollipop Chainsaw is coming out in 2023! There will be some noticeable differences compared to the original game – there shall be improved graphics, as everybody expects. “A combination of development staff from the original version, including Yasuda as producer, and new development staff from Dragami Games,” are responsible for the development of the remake, as IGN quotes.
Yasuda stated via Twitter:
Unfortunately, various factors resulted in things making it so that fans can no longer easily play Lollipop Chainsaw, and it has been some time since players have not been able to access the game on current consoles.
We, the original development staff on Lollipop Chainsaw, think of the game as very precious to us, and did not want to leave it in limbo, where players who want to play it cannot. As such, we purchased the Lollipop Chainsaw intellectual property from Kadokawa Games, and decided to develop a remake. We have already contacted Warner Bros. about development, and are being supported by them in this endeavor.
