Xiaomi won’t go down without a fierce fight, as the Chinese brand is eager once again to show that it can still create powerful and affordable gadgets.

Xiaomi has introduced a new lineup of smartphones, and the Mi 12S Ultra is the flagship. The camera sensor mounted on the rear is the element that stands out the most. It’s so big that it resembles a giant alien eye that seems to be looking straight at the user, and it occupies about a third of the phone’s surface.

There’s no wonder why that camera sensor looks so different and big. It’s a Leica professional optical lens that features a 50MP ultra sensor with OIS, a 48 MP ultrawide sensor featuring Night Mode, as well as a 48MP telephoto sensor of 5x optical zoom, Night mode, and OIS.

The display couldn’t possibly have been falling short – it’s an AMOLED WQHD+ screen packed with Dolby Vision, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The flagship also packs a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is capable of some impressive stuff as well. It provides 33% improved power efficiency, an increase of 30% for the GPU, as well as an improvement of 20% for AI power efficiency.

Those who will be using Xiaomi’s new 12S Ultra model won’t have to worry too much about getting the device into contact with water or dust, either. The flagship is both dustproof and waterproof, reaching the IP68 level. As for other features that stand out, we can mention NFC, IR remote control, a 4,860mAh battery, as well as a 3D cooling system for improving thermal conductivity at 100%.

Feel free to tell us what you think in the comment section of this article! Would you buy Xiaomi’s new 12S Ultra flagship? Don’t expect it to be cheap, that’s for sure!
