Apex Legends is one of those popular games that keep high the flag of battle royale. The mode represents an ongoing trend for a few years, but that doesn’t mean that Respawn’s shooter does only good things.
After all, let’s face it: there’s no such thing as perfection in life, regardless of the field. And the gaming world is no exception. Faulty and full of bugs games will always exist, and we have to deal with this fact.
The recent “collection event” update is a mess for console players
According to The Verge, the recent “collection event” update that Apex Legends received a few days ago has been causing console gamers a lot of headaches by making the controls barely responsive. Those running Apex Legends on Xbox Series X are having the most trouble: the controls becoming laggy and clunky, even when the players are trying to find something in the dashboard. You know, basically one of gamers’ biggest possible “turn-off’s.”
A lot of Xbox players had been complaining about the issue, which led the guys from Respawn to become aware of it and send an important tweet:
We are continuing to investigate reports of input delay some Xbox players are experiencing. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this.
— Respawn (@Respawn) June 27, 2022
Therefore, the best thing to do right now is to have some patience until the developer Respawn will release new information, and we’re confident that they’ll provide a solution to the problem in a future update.
Apex Legends remains free-to-play, and you can download the game via Steam, where it’s described as follows:
Apex Legends is the award-winning, free-to-play Hero Shooter from Respawn Entertainment. Master an ever-growing roster of legendary characters with powerful abilities, and experience strategic squad play and innovative gameplay in the next evolution of Hero Shooter and Battle Royale.
Except for its availability for Xbox Series X consoles, Apex Legends can also be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC, Android, and iOS.
