An source in the business has mentioned the 30th of June as a possible date for the publication of some new news, which might mean that the release date for God of War: Ragnarok will be revealed next week.

At the moment, God of War: Ragnarok is scheduled to be released some time during the year 2022; however, Santa Monica Studios has not yet disclosed the game’s precise release date. Ragnarok is likely to have some challenging rivals in the form of games such as Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights, and The Callisto Protocol, amongst others, all of which are scheduled to be released before the end of this year.

Next week, on Thursday, June 30th, we could get a fresh God of War: Ragnarok announcement, at least according to “The Snitch,” who is a credible industry source who has been providing us with information. Even though The Snitch doesn’t come straight out and state it, the leaker shared a picture of Kratos with the digits “11110” on it. Fans then converted this into a decimal figure of ’30,’ and many began to speculate that more announcements will take place on the 30th of June.

Tom Henderson, another person who works behind the scenes in the gaming business, saw this and reposted it, adding that June 30th appears to be the date for some announcements.

Recent rumors stated that the release of God of War: Ragnarok had been internally pushed back to the year 2023; however, writer Jason Schreier revealed that the release date of the game was really planned for November 2022. Schreier did note that the production of Ragnarok was “turbulent”.

If the rumor turns out to be accurate, it is still unknown whether or not PlayStation will organize a special event for Ragnarok on June 30. However, given the nature of the situation, it is important to take this news with a grain of salt since there is always the possibility that the plans might be revised.
