He said that the game Avowed might have some guns in it, but they won’t be like machine guns. Players will instead be able to use muskets in the game. This is one of the most-requested Red Dead Redemption features, and many people would be happy to see muskets in Avowed.
Some people think that Avowed takes place hundreds of years before the events in the Pillars of Eternity universe. But since the Pillar of Eternity games also have muskets, it’s safe to say that the game will take place around the same time. We should see more of Avowed soon, since the Xbox showcase is coming up in just a few days.
