Tony Todd, who plays Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, recently posted a tweet that gives fans a lot of information about how Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming together. Tony says in a tweet that he had to wake up early because he was going to do motion capture work. Now, you might be thinking that he might have other plans and that this might not have anything to do with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, what happened next tells a different story.
The development of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been teased, and it may still be in the early stages.
As soon as the tweet went out, fans replied with different GIFs of Venom. Tony liked those comments, which pretty much proves that the work in question was, in fact Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Also interesting, Tony likes a tweet from someone who says they will place their order as soon as Sony starts taking pre-orders.
Since Tony is still capturing the movements for the game, it’s safe to say that the game is still in its early stages. But it should be said that the game isn’t coming out until 2023, so there’s still a long way to go. If motion capture work is still being done on the game, we probably won’t get it before the end of 2023. And from Sony’s point of view, that makes a lot of sense as well. The reason is pretty simple: God of War won’t come out until very late this year, and Sony always puts out its exclusive games at different times.
This game is the next one in the Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise. It’s developed by Insomniac Games for the PS5 console.
