Elden Ring will soon run smoothly on Steam Deck, and we cannot wait to see it.
The first batch of the Steam Deck platforms will be sent to those who had pre-ordered one. Everyone will love playing the game on their new handheld platform, since this is the most trending game across the entire world.
It seems like it’s a very solid platform that’s based on multiple reviews from both the media and the users, but some games will need additional optimization if they are to run smoothly on the new gaming device.
When will the optimization be done?
As per developers from Valve, the team behind Steam Deck is trying to optimize Elden Ring for the handheld platform, and they are trying to get rid of stuttering and frame-drop issues. We learned that a new Proton release is bound to happen next week, and all of the stuttering problems should be solved.
We don’t have an exact release date, but we know that it should be available by Sunday, in the worst-case scenario.
Griffais has also revealed that the update is available in beta mode, and that the team is waiting for the full release for all the players.
Those of you who own Steam Decks will receive your device today, but if you don’t get it in the coming days, it means that your device will be delivered with the second batch of distribution.
Steam Deck will support many of the games on Steam, and it already has about 100 games optimized for the gaming device. More games will be added to the list soon.
Elden Ring is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
