Take-Two had a conference call held on January 10, 2022, and we got to learn more about GTA 6. Everything that was mentioned in this conference can be delayed, of course, but here’s what you need to know: “Together, we expect to deliver a 14% compound annual growth rate for net bookings including synergies and any future acquisitions for the three-year period ending March 31st, 2024.”
A 14% compound annual growth rate, as they say, is a huge thing for Take-Two. Some believe that GTA 6 will be released between April 1, 2023, and March 24, 2024.
An analyst from a financial services company revealed that at least one Rockstar IP would be released by FY24. Of course, the conference call didn’t mention any names, but there’s only a handful that can come with this boost, and GTA 6 is definitely one of them.
So is this the real release date?
As of now, there is no official announcement about GTA 6 or its release. Many claimed that the game will be released in 2024 or 2025, and this conference call comes as an assurance. But there also may be another project that involves the Zynga acquisition, which can account for the 14% compound annual growth rate.
The CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick has only mentioned GTA once: “To date, much of our growth and success has been rooted in the organic investments we’ve made in our wholly owned and renowned labels, including Rockstar Games, 2K, and Private Division. Our labels are home to some of the most iconic brands in the world, including Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, Midnight Club, NBA2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Sid Meier’s Civilization, Mafia, and Kerbal Space Program.”
We are waiting for an official statement from the company regarding GTA 6.
