Hardest Target is back in GTA Online, but is this good news for players? The mode was first introduced in the Doomsday Heist update. Two teams must score the highest number of points in order to win the match. But the thing is that each team has a designated target, that has a specific number of points. So it’s not really a piece of cake. You will need to fight to survive, and you’ll have powerful weapons at your side. Also, you need to make sure that your target is not taken out easily.
Teams need to work together in order to win – so cooperation is a must. Make sure you maintain both offense and defense.
What are the rules of the game?
So there are two opposing teams, each of them as a designated target. Every minute, a new player turns into a target. You can score points if you eliminate the targeted player:
- One point if the target is eliminated by a non-target
- Three points if the target is eliminated by another target
If you are targeted, you will have a blue arrow above your head, and it can be seen from the distance. You can also see everybody’s location on the mini-map.
Weapons are everywhere on the map – shotguns, rifles, and grenades. Remember to use rifles for long-range and shotguns for close-range.
Things to keep in mind
- Always aim for the head
If you are a target, you will have a body armor, and a single headshot will guarantee the take out. Also, make sure you roll when you need to avoid gunfire.
- Protect your teammates
You should protect your targeted teammates. When they get separated from the rest of the team, they become an easy target.
