The developer of Genshin Impact, MiHoYo, first started talking about skins in August 2020, before the game was released. And now, after more than a year, the first skins were revealed, and Barbara and Jean got their swimsuits in the 1.6 update. The studio has also confirmed that Keqing and Ningguang will get party dresses, and we cannot wait to see which characters are next in line for skins.
According to some leaks on the internet, Diluc and Fischl are getting new skins. The leak is basically everywhere on the internet right now. It was first posted by NGA, a Chinese forum – that’s where all the leaks are posted.
This particular leak comes from the alternative account of Uncle Dumb Dumb, who is known for being reliable. Uncle Dumb Dumb was, unfortunately, permanently banned from NGA. But we don’t know if these two accounts have the same owner or not.
Is the leak real?
The leak seems pretty real, considering the characters that already got skins. The studio wants to give all the 5-star characters skins. So it makes sense that Diluc is the first one, and then followed by Qiqi and Mona.
The leak also shows that Diluc would get a skin that’s similar to the costume he wore for the KFC collab. Maid and butler outfits are a staple in the otaku culture. But the problem here is that the leak is not from NGA. And we don’t know if the real Uncle DD is behind it. So we kind of expect it to happen, but we also don’t get our hopes too high.
The Genshin Impact 2.4 update will come with Ningguang and Keqing Skins on the 5th of January, 2022.
