Marvel has come with a big surprise for its fans: we got a new teaser for Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and there’s a new villain in town. But it seems that we know him from somewhere. Find out who is Dr. Strange Supreme in this article.
The trailer was shown to the fans in the Spider-Man: No Way Home post-credits, but it’s not available on YouTube. We’re getting the original Dr. Strange cast, but, of course, with some new faces.
Dr. Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch), together with Wong (Benedict Wong), needs the help of Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen). They are still doing research on the Time Stone, and it seems they don’t get the spells right. And the dangerous spells bring unbearable consequences to their universe.
The teaser shows Dr. Strange dealing with an alternative version of himself. But who is this new villain?
As of now, we know from the trailer that the new Dr. Strange is more somber, and it leaves the impression that he is Dr. Strange Supreme. He first appeared in the animated series called “What if?” and it has left quite an impression.
Dr. Strange Supreme is the bad version of Dr. Strange, as he is burdened with loss. When Dr. Christine Palmer (played by Rachel McAdams), his wife, died, he was s consumed with grief, he got to a dark path in order to bring her back.
He needed a lot of power, so he absorbed the energy of numerous other magical creatures. And despite all of the warnings, he played with reality in order to bring his wife back. And the consequences were disastrous. And he might mess with this one, as well.
