Call of Duty’s free-to-play battle royale now has Vanguard. So Activision and Raven Software have decided to change the name to Warzone Pacific. This is the new era of the game. With Verdansk soon gone, and a brand new map will make its appearance. This new map has more than 200 points of interest to explore.

So when is the release date?
Warzone Pacific will be released alongside Season 1, in December. The new map will have the same engine as Vanguard, which will ensure a smooth integration of the two titles.
When Warzone Pacific launches, Vanguard will integrate into the game, This means that all cosmetic items and Operators from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare will be there, too. Vanguard players will have 24 hours of early access before the update goes live for everyone else.
The Rebirth Island map stays
Players started to wonder whether Rebirth Island would remain in the game, and Activision has confirmed that this small map will also be present in Warzone Pacific. Activision has also talked about the Resurgence game modes being included at the party.
Playlists
You will get access to two different modes and to the usual BR playlists. We’re getting Vanguard Royale which allows players to take part in aerial battles, and Vanguard Plunder, which will be here when Season 1 starts. Keep in mind that in these modes, only weapons from the Vanguard can be used in custom loadouts.
Weapons
There will be more than 150 weapons to choose from in the Gunsmith. Warzone Pacific is the largest arsenal in the history of the franchise.
Vehicles
The new map comes with new vehicles. We’re getting planes and cars, and we’re getting more and more excited.
