This week’s action 10-11 June

This week is again another packed weekend of top quality action from both sides of the pond with various world title fights and show piece bouts featuring top quality fighters and prospects firstly on tonight we have old campaigner and top quality fighter in Enzo Maccarinelli facing Dymtro Kucher for the vacant EBU Cruiserweight title at the historic York hall in London, UK. As I have stated in a previous article I believe that Enzo can get back on to the world stage and challenge the likes of Lebedev, Bellew, Shumenov which would all be competitive fights for him. The only fighter to me who will outclass him for certain and damage him will be Ukrainian Cruiserweight Oleksandr Usyk who in my opinion already is a top 3 Cruiserweight and will eventually clean up the division. The card will be shown in full on Boxnation from 7pm with the fist fight scheduled at 7:25pm

Saturday throws up a lot of action from the USA for your viewing. From Verona, New York State we have Dejan Zlaticanin finally getting his WBC title shot against Franklin Mamani in a Lightweight contest. Also on the card we have arguably the best Light Middleweight fighter in the world with Demetrius Andrade facing off against Willie Nelson in what is a final eliminator for the WBC world title. The belt was recently won by Jermell Charlo and the winner becoming his mandatory challenger. The main event of this card features fan friendly Ruslan Provodnikov facing John Molina Jr in a Light Welterweight contest over 12 rounds. One thing which I can predict with certainty is that it will be a very entertaining and action packed fight and should not be missed. The card will be shown live on Showtime.

Lastly and by no means least is the event from the Madison Square Garden Theater, NYC featuring Ukranian Sensation Vasyl Lomachenko challenging Roman Martinez for Roman’s WBO super Featherweight title. Vasyl if successful will become a two weight world champion in only his 7th professional contest which is a fantastic achievement if successful. Vasyl is already one of the greatest amateur fighters in history and is continuing his success in the pro’s. The only Blemish on his record as a pro was in the controversial fight with Orlando Salido who weighed in hugely overweight and fouled all night long. Along with poor refereeing as standard from Laurence Cole many could argue that fight could have been declared a draw or a round either way.

Also on the card we have Felix Vardejo facing Juan Jose Martinez for the WBO Latino Lightweight title and Shiming Zou facing Jozsef Ajtai for the IBF international Flyweight title. The card can be seen live on Boxnation in the UK and In the USA on HBO.
