Stefy Bull the Promoter/manager/trainer of British Bantamweight titleholder Josh Wale has announced that a deal has been agreed between for Josh to make the third defence of his British title against mandatory challenger Kash Farooq. Stefy Bull has confirmed that a deal has been agreed between the two camps for the clash to take place on the 13th of April at the Doncaster Dome on Stefy Bull’s own promotion, which is set to take place on the date in question according to Stefy Bull.
Brampton’s Wale (26-9-2) claimed his British title against Jamie Wilson in July 2017 in a thrilling fight at the Doncaster Dome to claim a tight but unanimous points verdict, fulfilling his childhood dream of lifting the coveted Lord Lonsdale challenge belt. Josh has had two defences of his title defeating former decorated amateur and former Commonwealth super-flyweight title holder Don Broadhurst in September of last year with an eleventh round knockout victory. Josh defended his title successfully on the 2nd of February with a 9th round stoppage of Bobby Jenkinson.
Kash Farooq (8-0) of Scotland, who defeated Scott Allan in a final eliminator back in November. The unbeaten Kash Farooq is handled by Iain Wilson of St Andrew Sporting Club in Scotland and is touted by many north of the border to be one of the brightest prospects in Scottish boxing.
