Manny Pacquiao set to return on November 5 according to manager
Long serving manager of Manny Pacquiao Michael Koncz overnight has spoken about Manny Pacquiao possibly returning to the ring for November the 5th. The opponent looks all set to be the current WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas who is also former world champion at light welterweight and only suffered one defeat in 28 fights and that was to Timothy Bradley in 2015.
“Retirement doesn’t suit Manny right now” said Koncz who believes his client and friend still has a lot to offer despite his aging years “Boxing is in his blood. When he trains, it’s like a pressure-release valve. You can see a dramatic difference in his mood … he’s happy. It’s amazing what training and fighting does for him.”
So it seems the opponent will be Jessie Vargas and there will be a meeting on the 10thof August in the Philippines to discuss where to stage the fight with the options being the Thomas & Mack centre in Las Vegas ( According to Vargas) , Los Angeles or the Middle East.
We story will soon come to a completion once the 10th of August meeting takes place where Bob Arum, Koncz and Manny will come to their decision and swiftly announce their next move.
