Liam Walsh to Face Andrey Klimov in an IBF eliminator
Yesterday Frank Warren and Queensbury announced that unbeaten super featherweight Liam Walsh is set to challenge Andrey Klimov in an eliminator for the IBF super featherweight title currently held by Jose Pedraza. The eliminator is to be held on Saturday October 8 at Harrow Leisure Centre live on Boxnation.
Andrey challenged for the IBF title back in June of 2015 against current IBF champion Jose Pedraza and lost by unanimous decision. Liam was set to challenge Ricky Burns for the WBO lightweight title back in 2012 however a car accident ruled Liam out of the fight. However quotes from Liam suggest he is in confident mood “I believe it’s my destiny to become World Champion and I’m now within touching distance. I’ve dedicated my whole life to boxing and now it’s time to go to the next level and reap the rewards.”

Will be interesting to see the developments and improvements of Mitchell now he has been working with Adam Booth a well-respected trainer for many years. Jez Smith (Mitchell’s brother) will also be featuring on the card in their home town of Harrow.
