Josh Kelly who is arguably British boxings brightest talent, demonstrated once again why he is deserving of such praise with victory at the York Hall. Kelly faced Jean Michel Hamilcaro over ten rounds in only Kelly’s fifth professional contest.

Hamilcaro of France, was a former IBF international champion at 154lbs, with Kelly moving up to the weight from his natural weight class of welterweight.

No issues with the weight surfaced from Kelly, who dominated the contest from round one till it’s conclusion in the sixth. Kelly had to deal with very little offensively from Hamilcaro, but negative frustrating tactics from the Frenchman.

Kelly boxed comfortably within himself for the opening five rounds, turned on the heat in the sixth. Kelly attacked the body of the Frenchman, scoring two knock downs in quick succession before another body attack shortly after forcing referee Ian John Lewis to withdraw Hamilcaro from the contest, with Lewis ruling the Frenchman to be in no position to continue.
