The popular Hannah Rankin who last featured on MTK Scotland’s January 26th Burns Night Celebration card in Glasgow, following her successful explosive outing on the card has been added to promotional outfit’s April 7th promotion titled “Evolution”. The card promoted by MTK Scotland will be held at the Lagoon Leisure Centre, Paisley.
Scotland’s Rankin (4-1) is a popular fighter on the circuit who is now based south of the border in London. Hannah has trained with some of the world premier female fighters of which include Christina Hammer (unified world female champion), Chantelle Cameron (IBO world female lightweight champion) and many of the top up and coming fighters domestically. Trained by Noel Callan, super-welterweight Rankin won her maiden title against Ester Konecna in November last year, A controversial loss stands on Rankin’s record which came away from home in Norway featuring on the undercard of Cecilia Braekhus’s contest with Mikaela Lauren in October against Joanna Ekedahl.
Rankin’s first bout in Scotland came on as mentioned MTK’s burns night card on the 26th of January putting in an electric showing against Klaudia Vigh, securing a first-round stoppage to claim victory. Rankin boxed for the first time as a professional in Scotland after all but one fight previously taking place south of the border in England.
