Clinical Smith mops up Radasovic
Liam Smith successfully defended his WBO light middleweight crown last with a 2nd round Ko of Predrag Radosevic . In the first round of the fight Liam started much stronger with a flurry of jabs and right hands catching Radosevic coming inside. While this was successful, Liam started using left hooks to the body which is the trademark of the Gallagher Gym. It was obvious that was the most successful punch to throw in this fight. Into the second round was pretty much exactly like the first round with Liam on top of the action. Then success for Liam dropping Radosevic with the left hook to the body which kept his opponent on his knees till the count was over.
After the fight Liam’s Promoter Frank Warren stated he will be trying to secure Liam a match up with Mexican fighter Saul Alvarez former light middleweight champion and former WBC “middleweight” champion. Other names mentioned for Liam are Miguel Cotto, Kell Brook and possibility of Unifications with the other champions in the division.
On the undercard Ryan Farrag lost his defence of the EBU bantamweight title to Frenchman Karim Guerfi . In the 3rd round Guerfi dropped Farrag heavily with a right uppercut. Although Farrag got up the referee thought he was in no position to continue. There were also wins for Zolani Tete, Liam Williams and Tom Stalker and Liam Williams.
