Today bit has been confirmed by the BBBofC that promoter Frank Warren has won the purse bid for his fighter Tommy Langford to face Chris Eubank JR. The bout will be for the British Middleweight title which is held by Chris Eubank JR which he won from Nick Blackwell in March of this year.
A date and Venue is yet to be confirmed by Frank Warren but will be expecting a concrete statement from warren in the near future. Warren’s middleweight contender Tommy is speaking highly of his chances “I’ll burst Chris Eubank Jnr’s bubble.” Langfrord In an interview with the Birmingham Mail.
“He says he wants to win a Lonsdale Belt outright by beating me, but doesn’t seem to realise he’s got two more defences, not one, before it’s his property. That makes you wonder how serious they (Eubank Snr and Jnr) really are. I’m a banana skin for him. From a business point of view, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to fight me. I’ll bring him down to a lesser level of opponent, a lot less money, I will burst a bubble.”
“He has already been beaten by a good, slick boxer in Billy Joe Saunders. OK, Saunders had a better amateur career than me, but, like him, I’ll box and move.
“To date, I’ve not been able to show my real boxing ability, but this will be about tactical boxing. I believe I’ll follow the game plan and beat him in all the departments necessary.
